[hand-painted new year’s greeting]

Admit it: You have no idea who Rein(hardt?) Bauer was or if he had enough friends and colleagues to justify paying someone to hand-letter this greeting for the new year (1906). That’s OK. Neither do we. If he didn’t make this himself, he must have known someone with knowledge and skill. A nice bit of lettering and an artifact from a different time and place. See if you can build a typeface out of these letters.
