Happy New Year! (Clarence & Millie Lee)

It’s 1975. Clarence & Millie send greetings for a happy new year to Preston McClanahan and his wife, Madi. A nice note is written on the back. But who were these people? You know Clarence as a prominent designer in Hawaiʻi and the designer of these stamps. Preston was an artist, designer, and professor at RISD for a zillion years. Alas, we know nothing about Millie Lee. And we met Madi and had a nice visit with her and Preston once, but she was quiet. And German. Anyway, a neat thing, by a designer we should know more about. His firm is still active.
