Paul Schuitema: Ein Pionier der Hollandischen Avantgarde
Admit it: You know almost nothing about Paul Schuitema, the pioneering Dutch graphic designer, furniture designer, photographer, film director, painter, and teacher at the Royal Academy of Art in The Hague. This book won’t help with that. It’s in German. And chances are that if you are getting this email, you can’t read German. (If you can read German, have we got a book about Paul Schuitema for you!) Chris Pullman got this in Zurich on his second trip to Switzerland in 1967. He just came in and we asked if he had any story to tell about this slender volume. He picked it up, flipped through, and said, “Not really. I don’t remember it.” “Don’t worry,” we said. “We can write some nonsense about it.” Done. Still, a good intro to an important figure in the Dutch avant garde. You’re phone will know how to translate it.
