12mo Festival de Teatro Puertorriqueño (Lorenzo Homar)
It’s 1969 and there’s gonna be a theater festival in San Juan. It’s the twelfth. Overture, curtains, lights. This is it, the night of nights. No more rehearsing and nursing a part. We know every part by heart. And this obviously calls for a stunning, multi-color silkscreen poster by Lorenzo Homar, about whom Poster House writes: “Lorenzo Homar was a pioneering printmaker, poster designer, calligrapher, painter, illustrator, caricaturist, and costume and theatrical set designer. Active from the 1950s through the 1990s, few equal his impact and influence as a teacher of poster design and printmaking in Latin America.” This is one of those pioneering posters. A total beauty.
