A Newe Booke of Copies 1574

This facsimile of a unique Elizabethan writing book in the Bodleian Library in Oxford is accompanied by an intro and notes by Berthold Wolpe—which makes him even more impressive. But what’s really remarkable are these beautiful letterforms. There’s definitely an italic to steal from this book and turn into a new typeface. Get to work.
