Better Printing Inks

$60.00

We’ve got two thoughts about this item issued by ink monger John E. Mandlik. Here’s the first: When we first picked it up, we were reminded of a story someone told us. We don’t remember the names, so we’re just going to make the up. Billy printed a book via letterpress. Allen saw that book and thought the black type wasn’t black enough. Allen asked Billy if Johnny Mandlik had peed in the ink.* Now the second thought: As we were taking the quick snaps of this thing, we thought, “Every page is lovely. We should probably take this apart, frame each leaf individually, and then sell them for $60 a pop. People would totally buy them.” But we don’t have time for that. We’d love to see you do it, though.

*Allen probably asked if “John E. Mandlik peed in the ink, but as we’d never seen Mandlik’s name written and the observation was kinda crude, we assumed Allen saying “Johnny Mandlik.”
