You’ll probably recognize this cover from Müller-Brockmann’s striking poster for the exhibition that this book is about. The design of the book is credited to Jörg Hamburger und Serge Stauffer and makes excellent use of film (Uh, der.) as the paper cover is preceded by a sheet of thin mylar (or something) that has the title der Film screenprinted on the reverse side. Inside they did a magnificent job of evoking the nature of film even when shown as static pics. A nice piece of Swiss book design from the collection of Inge Druckrey.
