Design & Style 6: Surrealism

This might just be the best little book about Surrealism that we’ve ever come across. Every picture is good and interesting. No duds. And it that makes sense as it was edited by Steve Heller and designed by Seymour Chwast. Every spread packs a punch and pulls us in. We knew we were kinda interested in this style, but this one has convinced us that it’s something to pursue. Really very good. Seriously.
  • Editor: Steven Heller
  • Size: 10.125 × 12 inches
  • Pages: 28 with extra fold-outs and stuff
  • Binding: Softcover
  • Condition: There is, alas, a coffee stain down the right edge of the cover and the bottoms and tops of a few pages. But because drips are prevalent in Surrealism, we thought it was just part of the design. (And then we figured out that it wasn’t.)
