Erik Bruun: Finnish Graphic Designer
Confession time: We didn’t know anything about Erik Bruun before we brought this book into the shop. And given that this book is largely in Japanese, we still don’t know much. But here’s what we do know: This guy is good. Born in 1926, Erik Bruun is an active graphic designer in Finland who won international respect for his wide variety of work: logotypes, posters, books, stamps and even Finnish banknotes. Often describing beautiful scenery in Finland, he is also well know as a naturalist with deep love for his homeland filled with rich nature. A really remarkable body of work—much of which is sure to be new to you. (Yes, you.)
