Festliche Ziffern (Zapf)

Don’t be fooled by our title: This is a Stempel specimen of Hermann Zapf’s Festival Figures. As we recall, these were designed to be used on calendars. If we’re wrong, surely some jackass will feel compelled to tell us. Don’t be that jackass. It’s not that important. What is important is that this specimen book shows us how to make useful something that would otherwise seem useless. A total charmer and a valuable tool. (Also includes a Stempel price list [undated] and a loose insert of Series III of this face, which covered 8 cicero [about 102 points] to 12 cicero [about 153 points]. Big!)
  • Size: 7.5 × 11 inches
  • Pages: 8
  • Binding: Pamphlet in stiff wrappers
  • Publisher: Stempel, n.d., but the loose price list is dated July 1951
