This display type, originally known as Fry’s Ornamented No. 2, is, (according to Stephenson Blake) one of the most beautiful and decorative display types ever designed. During the 1930s, in response to the many requests of typographical designers, the foundry revived this early nineteenth-century masterpiece, but only in one size—30-point. This specimen is a showing of three additional sizes with samples that suggest how to put the face to good use.
