Fuochi d’artificio: Catalogo illustrato

Fireworks at the moment of explosion seem impossible to reproduce on paper. At the end of the nineteenth century, however, Jinta Hirayama took on this challenge, publishing an extraordinary catalogue. While this catalogue once functioned as a pyrotechnic instruction manual, today it is simply a graphic wonder with eighty-six magnificent, elegant, and surprising illustrations of the unillustratable. A total stunner.
