Grundformen des Ornaments

Sometimes handy is a portfolio of basic forms of ornament. (That's what the title translates to, FYI.) This one by Walter Schneider will certainly do the job. With an introduction in German that we can’t read but recognize as set beautifully, the meat of this is a suite of sixteen leaves which start of with basic elements and build to more complex arrangements. A lovely thing.

  • Size: 8.75 × 12 inches
  • Pages: An 8-page pamphlet + 16 loose leaves
  • Binding: Portfolio
  • Language: German
  • Condition: The chipboard portfolio shows some discoloration and signs of wear. Previous owner lettered the title on the spine but it’s faded and hard to read. Bookseller’s ticket on inside cover. Overall very good. We hope we look this good when we’re 75.
