herbert bayer: from type to landscape
It’s not easy to find a survey of Herbert Bayer that surprises. But this one pulls of that trick. It’s got the usual favorites that lay the basic groundwork, but those are followed by a showing of sculptures and photographs and site-specific installations. The result is a better picture of the guy we thought we all knew. And it’s surprisingly uncommon.
