We’d never encountered the work (or name) of Hermann Virl before we came across this tribute. Now that we have it, there’s not much we can tell you that Google Translate can’t. But we can tell you that we are hooked. The lettering and logos and banknotes and engravings and posters are all sparked by joy and a careful attention to detail. There are more references to Jesus than we are normally inclined to appreciate, but the rest of the work is so good and new (to us) and fresh that there is no shortage of things to recommend it. We recommend it.
