Schüle-Schmuck
Only a small handful of women were credited with the design of a metal typeface. Even fewer were credited with the design of metal ornaments. Is it possible Ilse Schüle (1903–1997) is the only one? Don’t tell us. Research it carefully and then write a blog post about it so everyone can know. Anyway, despite the fact that our gloomy pics might suggest otherwise, Schüle-Schmuck from Ludwig & Mayer is a bright and dynamic set of shapes. We should probably keep this for a show of type specimens of metal type designed by women. Maybe we’ll borrow it back from you.
