Get this: This catalogue comes from an exhibition of Swiss graphic designers (hence the title) that traveled to eight different venues from New Hampshire to San Francisco. It’s difficult to imagine that happening now. But just think of the influence this show must’ve had. Anyway, this beauty has a cover by Armin Hofmann in which he’s worked the initials of all the designers into the design. (And the interior is by American Noel Martin [Imagine the nerve on him!]) Too bad we missed this exhibition way back in 1958 when it was right down the street at the Institute of Contemporary Art. At least we can enjoy the catalogue until you buy it.
