The Ukrainian Political Poster
Published ten years before Ukraine became independent of Russia, this one chronicles both the Communist Party’s use of the posters and the people’s struggle via striking illustrations and graphics. Now, we’re not sure if you’ve heard: Russia invaded Ukraine three years ago. Ukraine did not ask for this. Typically countries do not ask to be invaded—and certainly Ukriane didn’t do anything to provoke this other than to exist near an asshole. Enter another asshole who wants to take away their resources, because that’s what you do when someone is in trouble: Get yours. Anyway, if you get this book about Ukrainian political posters, we’ll donate our share of the sale to the Ukraine Humanitarian Fund. From the collection of Steven Heller.
