Typographia polyglotta
This comparative study in multilingual typesetting is fascinating. Not only does it show the same text set over and over in different languages so we can get a sense of how their lengths change, but there’s an informative description of each language and its typographic peculiarities. Both useful and interesting. (We can’t say that about all books.)
