POSTPONED! We won’t bore you with the details, but we have to push this talk to 2026. If you already purchased a ticket, we’ll issue a full refund.

Our fortieth Standing-Room-Only Lecture will have Anežka Minaříková coming from the home of the oldest performing arts center in the United States to talk about Czech graphic designer Clara Istlerová. A pioneering figure in Czech graphic design, Istlerová (b. 1944) is celebrated for her distinctive book covers, calligraphy, and expressive use of type which helped shape the visual culture of postwar Czechoslovakia.

Our speaker, Anežka Minaříková, is a independent graphic designer and a creative at Google. She is the editor of Clara Istlerová: A Life Among Letters.
