Alles Gute im neuen Jahre wünschen Jan und Edith Tschichold

Jan and Edith Tschichold wish you all the best for the new year! We don’t know for sure what year that was, but as there was none printed on this sheet or the accompanying envelope, let’s say it was sometime between 1960 when the stamp on the envelope was issued and 1966 and 1974 when Tschichold died. (We looked into the history of Swiss postal rates but lost interest pretty quick. There were too many variables.) The Chinese woodcut was printed in the manner of Tschichold’s beloved Ten Bamboo Studio. A nice thing sent to a scion of the Klingspor foundry and his wife.
