Eric Gill and Ditchling: The Workshop Tradition

$40.00

Eric Gill’s career as an artist began in Ditchling, a village in East Sussex, England. It was there that he carved his first sculpture, became a skilled wood engraver and established himself as an author. It’s where he established the craft Guild of St Joseph & St Dominic and the workshop practices that lived on in the small craftworkers community on Ditchling Common. This book tells the story in words and pictures. Lots and lots of pictures. From the library of Inge Druckrey.
