Glass Antiqua Magere

$300.00

The nice thing about writing a description for the specimen book of the light version of a face we already wrote about is that we can use the same text and but just set it in a lighter weight. So:

Glass Antiqua came out well before the first mention of J.D. Salinger’s Glass family, but we can’t help but think of Les, Bessie, Seymour, Buddy, Boo Boo, Walt, Waker, and Zooey every time we see this typeface. Designed by Franz Paul Glass and released by Genzsch & Heyse in 1912, this is a precocious letter and easily could have appeared on the radio quiz show “It’s a Wise Child.” A total charmer.
