“FHK Henrion drawing winter 83”
Once when we had visual ideas that needed to be worked out or conveyed to others, we would quickly sketch them on paper. (Paper was largely a concoction of wood pulp formed to create a substrate for holding written or printed marks.) Here we have celebrated graphic designer FHK Henrion sketching out one of his ideas on paper. We’ve no idea what the idea was, but he had this thought at RISD in 1983—and Preston McClanahan had the good sense to save this for you.
