[A sign for Queen Lakatherine Small Gallery Tree]

In 2023, someone hung a sign in a tree down the street from our shop. It was wood  and had the following text laser-cut into its surface: Queen Latreefah. Get it? Queen Latifah is a rapper and actress. And the sign is in a tree. Queen Latreefah. We’d pass this every day, impressed that someone had the nerve to hang that sign in a tree, but not really impressed with what was on that sign. We thought about this for months. Not wanting to be outdumb, we had this sign made with the idea that it would hang in the tree directly outside our shop. We made sure to use the same typeface and we tried to approximate the treatment of the edges of the sign. Unfortunately, by the time our new sign arrived from the sign maker, the Queen Latreefah sign had disappeared. Our sign would no longer make sense. We considered making a new Queen Latreefah sign to hang down the street but it seemed we’d already wasted enough money on this joke. And now you can waste money on this joke
