Beseelte Kalligraphie: In Memoriam Rudo Spemann

Rudo Spemann is dead. May his soulful calligraphy rest in peace. At least that’s what we’re imaging Walter Tiemann wrote in this tribute to Spemann. It’s all in German and we can’t say for sure. But there’s a 23-page essay that’s been beautifully set in Spemann’s Gavotte and then twenty examples for his aforementioned soulful calligraphy and lettering. A sweet showing of good work that was Klingspor’s annual gift to its people for 1950/51.
