Cuadragésimo Congreso mundial de Ajedrez (Lorenzo Homar)

It’s 1969 and time for the fortieth World Chess Congress. It’s being held in San Juan. This obviously calls for a multi-color silkscreen poster by Lorenzo Homar. ¡Jaque mate! Also, the following is swiped from the Poster House site. They had a show of Homar’s posters that you just missed: “Lorenzo Homar was a pioneering printmaker, poster designer, calligrapher, painter, illustrator, caricaturist, and costume and theatrical set designer. Active from the 1950s through the 1990s, few equal his impact and influence as a teacher of poster design and printmaking in Latin America.” This is one of those pioneering posters.
