Dinner Held in Honor of Carl Purington Rollins [Guest List and Seating Chart]

It’s 1955 and time to celebrate Yale University Printer Emeritus Carl Purington Rollins at the Lawn Club in New Haven. It’s his seventy-fifth birthday. But who will be there? And where will you sit? We’ll be honest: We don’t recognize the overwhelming majority of people who attended this dinner and so we’re probably not gonna go. (There were 30 tables × about 10 people at a table = 300 people.) But there are more than a few printing and design luminaries who showed. We even knew one of them in real life! If you’re older than we are, you might have actually known more than a few of these people. A neat thing.
