Exhibitions: Graphic Messages from Ginza Graphic Gallery & DDD Gallery, 1986–2006

$60.00

In 2006, the ginza graphic gallery (ggg) celebrated its twentieth, and ddd gallery its fifteenth, anniversary. From their beginning through 2006, those institutions saw more than 1 million visitors pass through their doors. To mark the ggg 20th anniversary, the gallery held the retrospective exhibition Exhibitions: Graphic messages from ginza graphic gallery and ddd gallery 1986–2006, covering the steps over the first two decades that led to the graphic design scene of today, and issued an accompanying commemorative catalog. This is that catalogue that brings together the works of and messages from 166 designers from 23 countries providing a wonderful opportunity to review and re-experience important creations. The ginza graphic gallery is a must-visit for your next visit to Tokyo. When we were there in, oh, 2016, they were celebrating their thirtieth anniversary. If they produced a catalogue for it, we missed. Don’t miss this. And it’s from the library of Toshi Katayama.
