Freeman Craw: Mohawk Superfine
You know Ad Lib and Craw Clarendon, but what do you really know about the work of their designer, Freeman Craw? Take your time. We’ll wait. There was a time when Mohawk Papers would put together portfolios with the work of a notable designer to promote their papers. And this time that notable designer was Freeman Craw. The twelve items in this portfolio make for a good intro to Craw’s work as a designer, calligrapher, and letterer. This thing would make a pretty good Quick Lazy Exhibit—or, a great show-and-tell piece to use with students for years to come. Surprisingly uncommon. We’re finding no copies anywhere and no references on the entire World Wide Web.
