We. Love. This. Book. We probably love just about everything by Imre Reiner, but this one is extra-special. First, it is the finest copy we have seen. That’s not saying much, though, because every copy we’ve seen has been trashed. And the dust jacket is always in pieces. This, however, is a nice copy. But that’s all superficial nonsense. Inside is what counts. And inside this book is impeccable classical typography combined with Reiner’s bonkers lettering. The result of this sort of pairing is an ultramodern showing of what is possible when one knows the rules inside and out and then ignores them to make something clear and expressive. We give this 1 zillion stars.
