Greetings & New Year (Chris + Esther Pullman, 1969)
For over fifty-five years, Chris and Esther Pullman have sent out star-themed New Year’s cards. This was the very first. They printed it themselves via silkscreen in 1969. One was sent to MoMA, who in August of 1970 sent out this press release, announcing the publication of 18 assorted Christmas cards by the likes of Jean Arp, Robert Indiana, Alexander Calder, Jim DIne, Jean Dubuffet, Henri Matisse—and Chris Pullman. For years these were available at the MoMA shop, although in a smaller version. This is one of the larger originals sent to a New Haven friend.
