Makoto Nakamura (GGG Book 19)
Makoto Nakamura spent his entire professional career working for Shisheido. In the beginning of the 1970s he created a revolution in cosmetic advertising by using close-ups of faces and fingers in situations that always tell a story, dramatic or mysterious, thereby building a strong and unique identity for the company. And now you know as much as we do. (And we just swiped that bio from Swann Galleries.) This book’s 2-page introduction gives just a taste of the esteem in which he is held in Japan—the remaining sixty or so pages will show why he’s earned that esteem, with picture after picture of good work.
