Margaret Sanger Centennial Conference poster
It’s 1979. Our little sister is born. It’s the centennial of Margaret Sanger’s birth. Coincidence? Either way, Smith College hosted a conference in honor of Sanger, the American birth control activist, sex educator, writer, and nurse who opened the first birth control clinic in the United States and founded Planned Parenthood. (Stay tuned to see if Smith hosts a centennial conference about our sister.) Produced for the event was this striking poster by Lisa Unger Baskin. Who knew she could activist, collect, and draw? An important document celebrating an important human. Get this and know that we’ll donate $250 to Planned Parenthood.
