We should probably save this for when we open Katherine Large Gallery and have enough room to show it, but we’re focused on the here and now—as Wolfgang Weingart was when he produced this suite of nine letterpress collages. Actually, today it’s kinda hard to imagine these as coming from 1975. They were definitely ahead of their time. Printed in an edition of just eighty copies, Weingart writes about these prints in Chapter 6 of his book. Tragically uncommon, we’re only seeing a set at the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art. (And Letterform Archive just chimed in that they have one, too. Time for not-San Francisco to get a set.)
Note: We’re not entirely sure how we’ll ship this, so unless you come pick it up, know that it might take us a spell to get this packed securely.
