Some Random Recollections
OMG. This book is so random! Or, maybe that’s what AAK (Alfred A. Knopf) wanted readers to think. It’s the text of an informal talk made at the Grolier Club in New York, in 1948. We haven’t read it. But it’s the first use in a book of Dwiggins’ experimental Arcadia—and also the last use. Also noteworthy, though, are all the many breeds of borzoi at the back of the book. We count thirty showings of how to solve the problem of Knopf’s mark.
