Type Pi: Recipes from Members of the Society of Printers
Oh, brother. Is this thing ever dumb. Perhaps we’d feel differently if we weren’t uninterested in cooking for ourselves, but this one is a head-scratcher. Did the Society of Printers actually spend money on this? Will you? In truth, there were a few entries that made us stop and look. The piece by Edward Karr was a pleasant surprise, as were those by the Nesbitts and Darrell Hyder. With contributions by twenty-five members on different papers with different types and with different methods of printing, this sort of self-indulgent navel gazing is what we hate about clubs, even if we love the Society of Printers.
