Typografische Monatsblätter (8/9.1977)

So many issues of Typografische Monatsblätter are largely filled with technical stuff in German and French that are completely uninteresting and not the least bit useful. But even in those completely-uninteresting and not-the-least-bit-useful issues there is a section about design and typography. This one has a handsome section dedicated to the presentation of the Media typeface designed by André Gürtler, Christian Mengelt, and Erich Gschwind (Team77), Hans-Rudolf Lutz’s essay on kiosk typography and cover design, Jost Hochuli's review of Nicolete Gray’s Nineteenth Century Ornamented Typefaces, and a special report on Drupa 77. The whole thing is mostly in foreign languages so you probably won’t be able to read it, but you can look at it for a lifetime—especially the striking cover by Hans-Rudolf Lutz.
