Typographische Gestaltung (Tschichold)
Whereas Jan Tshichold’s earlier-and-important books kinda focused on looks and display as applied to the New Typography, this one paid more attention to the details. An important book, somehow it went untranslated for thirty-two years before it was made available in English. But the nice thing about this original German edition is that it incorporated different papers and processes. It’s a nicer thing. And, in addition to being Inge Druckrey’s personal copy, it is loaded with advertisements in the back that put the new approaches to use. It’s theory and practice.
