Will Burtin: Visual Aspects of Science
While it’s always nice to see what can be done with few resources, it can be pleasant, too, to see what can be done when a book is funded by Kodak, IBM, Upjohn, and Union Carbide. Cha-Ching! Still, Will Burtin did not go overboard. He still made a spectacular thing with graphic efficiency. Sure, photographs by Ezra Stoller made his work easy, but sixty years later when we can do anything they can do without nearly the effort or drama, this one shows that taste, knowledge, and skill are still the most valuable resources. Weirdly uncommon.
