1er Festival de Teatro de Ponce (Lorenzo Homar)
It’s 1967 and there’s gonna be a theater festival. ¡Mucha suerte! This obviously calls for a 2-color silkscreen poster by Lorenzo Homar. And this is totally worth it just for his lettering. Also, the following is swiped from the Poster House site. They had a show of Homar’s posters that you just missed: “Lorenzo Homar was a pioneering printmaker, poster designer, calligrapher, painter, illustrator, caricaturist, and costume and theatrical set designer. Active from the 1950s through the 1990s, few equal his impact and influence as a teacher of poster design and printmaking in Latin America.” This is one of those pioneering posters.
