OK. We’ve got here eighteen leaves of faces from Berthold and eighteen leaves of faces form Typefoundry Amsterdam. These were prepared by those foundries for the U.S. importer Amsterdam Continental Types and Graphic Equipment Inc. at 268–276 Fourth Avenue in New York. We’ve just spent a stupid amount of time trying to find that address on a map. The only clue we could really find was this. Anyway, these were made to go into a 3-ring binder and serve as a quick, single-line (usually) showing. There’s nothing fancy here. They’re just good and efficient showings of good faces.
