[67 bookplates designed and/or printed at Sun Hill Press]

$1,250.00

Earlier in the year we traveled to Petersham, Massachusetts to see Paper & Print / One Couple’s Cottage Collaboration: Elisabeth and Darrell Hyder’s Paste Paper and Letterpress Lives. It was all lovely and interesting work, but we were especially taken by the bookplates printed at the Hyders’ Sun Hill Press in North Brookfield, Mass. They were delightful, each and every one—and exceptionally well-printed. We then made arrangements to get sixty-seven of them with the hope that we could make arrangements for you to get those same sixty-seven. While the bulk of these are designed by Darrell and/or Elisabeth, some were designed by other notable New England calligraphers and illustrators, including Stephen Harvard, Jean Evans, Michael McCurdy, and Leslie Evans. And there’s one by Leo Wyatt, too. Printed for institutions such as the Boston Athenæum, Cornell University, American Antiquarian Society, John Carter Brown Library, and Historic Deefield, this is a humbling collection of very good work.
