When one works with highly ornamental elements, it’s good to have a vast trove of highly ornamental samples. Like, one might ask oneself, “How do they ornament things in Colombia?” Maybe Louise Fili asked herself that and then she was able to look at this and get a sense of how to apply certain elements or approaches. Now you can do the same with this sample piece of printing from 1902(ish).
