Arosa: Suisse, Schweiz, Svizzera, 1800 m (GVA Studio)

$500.00

The Swiss Cultural Fund in Britain, in collaboration with the Swiss Embassy, supported the “Design for Life 2010” exhibition in London. Ten historical poster designs were adapted to the modern era by various Swiss designers and design studios. Two of these were selected by the jury as among the “100 Best Posters of 2010.” This is one of them, and it’s an adaptation of the controversial 1935 Arosa poster originally designed by Viktor Rutz. This not-controversial-but-dazzling poster was created at Ateliers GVA in Geneva, and the “1800 m” at the bottom refers to the elevation of the Arosa resort (1,800 m = 5,905.5 feet).
