Carmen (K. Domenic Geissbühler)

Designed by K. Domenic Geissbühler for the Opernhaus Zürich’s 2002 production of Carmen at the Zürcher Festspiele, this evocative poster entirely rejects traditional Andalusian folklore. Instead, it captures the bleak, contemporary atmosphere of Peter Mussbach’s staging and Erich Wonder’s scenic design—or so we copied and pasted from a source we can no longer find. This one was selected as one of the 2002 100 Best Posters Germany Austria Switzerland exhibition.
