College at Purchase (Daniel Friedman and April Greiman)

Way back in the 1970s, when one wanted to learn about college, one had to go to the library, look in a directory to find contact information for a school, then write to or call that school for a brochure. It was arduous. But we didn’t know there was another way. At some point someone wrote away to get this brochure about SUNY Purchase. Founded in 1967, it was still a new school at the time and they needed a brochure that looked fresh. To that end, they had Dan Friedman design it make a map. April Greiman made a map, too. A fresh look for a fresh school—and a rare thing.
