Bear with us. We can’t find the exact date of release for David Byrne’s 3 Big Songs, but those three big songs come from his album The Catherine Wheel which was released on November 23, 1981. So it stands to reason that the 3 Big Songs was released around that time. 3 Big Songs was designed by Tibor Kalman’s M&Co. The illustrations are credited to Maira Berman. We can’t find the date that Maira Berman married Tibor Kalman in 1981 and became Maira Kalman, but we can tell you that these illustrations are by Maira Kalman before she became Maira Kalman.
