David Hockney: Photoworks Retrospective

Designed by Swiss designer Werner Jeker (although the Hockney “joiner” does the heavy lifting), this one promotes a show of David Hockney photoworks in Lausanne. It’s a lovely typographic solution to an image that’s unfriendly to lettering and type. Featuring a portrait of Hockney’s assistant and friend, the artist David Graves, this one is gridded to the max and reproduced often. Curiously uncommon.
