Design for Action: Gillies Gothic (Alexey Brodovitch)

If we knew that Alexey Brodovitch designed type specimens, we forgot. There’s a credit line on the back that says the cover design is his work. Seems like he could’ve done the whole thing, but we’ll defer to the aforementioned credit line. A nice surprise from the collection of Louise Fili—and this is the very item reproduced on pages 278 and 279 of Scripts. Historic!
